Norton Woodseats Cricket Club: A New Chapter
Welcome to Norton Woodseats Cricket Club. With roots tracing back to the 19th century, our club has a long and valued history in Sheffield cricket. We are proud to have been a founding member of the prestigious South Riding League (later the SYSCL), reflecting our deep and historical commitment to competitive cricket in the region.
Our club has recently undergone an ambitious relocation project, led by Club President Dave Colegate in partnership with Sheffield City Council, resulting in a modern facility that represents the first new cricket ground in Sheffield in over 70 years.
As a further sign of our commitment to high standards, Norton Woodseats CC is an officially ECB Clubmark registered club. This accreditation demonstrates to parents, members, and the wider community that we operate with the highest standards of safety, quality, and management, especially in our junior sections.

Our new ground offers a stunning and fully equipped location for both playing and socialising:
New Clubhouse and Bar: The heart of our club features a brand new clubhouse with a fully stocked bar. It's a comfortable social space for members and guests, complete with pool facilities and bar food.
Changing Facilities: Players benefit from high-quality changing rooms, including brand new shower facilities that are modern and spacious.
Accessibility: We offer easy parking access for all members and visitors.
The Grounds: The setting is enriched by stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere.
Dog-Friendly Space: We welcome dog owners to use the huge summer meadow area adjacent to the pitch for exercising their dogs while enjoying the match.
Growing Our Membership
Norton Woodseats CC is dedicated to expanding cricket participation for all sections of the community:
Senior Cricket: Our Senior teams compete in the Yorkshire Southern Premier Cricket League (Divisions 2 and 7).
Junior Cricket: We run dedicated sections for Under 13 and Under 11 players.
Grassroots Development: We participate in the All Stars Junior Cricket programme to introduce young children to the sport.
Women’s & Girls' Cricket: A key focus for the club is the development of our new senior ladies and girls team.
Midweek Cricket: Offering a valuable option for players with limited weekend availability.
Private Hire Opportunities
The club’s facilities are available to hire, providing a fantastic venue for local events and functions.
Clubhouse Hire: Members can hire the new clubhouse for events such as birthday parties and family gatherings at very beneficial rates.
Ground Hire: The ground is available for external hire for midweek and Sunday cricket matches.
